"In all Embodied Life retreats we work with three main forms: sitting and walking meditation, Feldenkrais® movement lessons and Guided Inquiries. The meditation is based in the Zen practice of "just sitting", the movement lessons are gentle, brilliant explorations of "Awareness Through Movement®, based on the work of Moshe Feldenkrais, and Guided Inquiry which includes a variety of awareness practices based in the Focusing work of Eugene Gendlin. Please join us for a restorative weekend in this beautiful location"
-Russell and Linda

The Zen Center Johanneshof

The Zen Center Johanneshof is dedicated to the teaching and practice of meditation, mindfulness, wisdom and compassion. We follow a monastic daily routine that begins every morning with zazen (quiet sitting meditation) and ends in the evening with zazen.

We offer different events: social weekend seminars, meditation weeks (sesshin), seminars with a focus on psychological aspects, communication (mindful cooperation), yoga, Feldenkrais and other bodywork methods. From mid-September to mid-December our 90-day practice period takes place. The Zen events will be led by Zentatsu Baker Roshi, Ikyo Ottmar Angel Roshi and Paul Ryuten Rosenblum Roshi. The seminars in psychology and bodywork are taught by longtime sangha members.

In the Psychology category, we offer events on three different topics: communication and attentive togetherness; psychological aspects of Zen practice; and systemic constellation work. We explore the respective topics as partial aspects of Zen practice. All events are led by longtime Sangha members and are suitable for both new and experienced practitioners.
